Bath and North East Somerset’s Employment and Skills Pod is marking its first anniversary with a celebratory networking event on Wednesday 18th September 2024 at the Guildhall. The event will bring together local businesses, employment services, and community members to recognise the pod’s achievements in supporting residents with their job searches.

The Supported Internship Programme at Bath College starting in September 2024, is a fantastic initiative designed to equip young adults aged 18-25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, with the skills and confidence they need to thrive in the workplace.

At Somerset Skills & Learning (SS&L), they're committed to providing exceptional training experiences for both businesses and apprentices. Recognising the unique challenges apprentices can face, they're proud to offer their innovative SS&L ACHIEVE - Apprenticeship Coaching programme.

The Careerpilot Team, a group of qualified career advisors and former teachers based at the University of Bath, is offering free careers sessions to disadvantaged students in Years 9, 10, or 11.

A new drive to increase the number of early years education and childcare practitioners available to families in Bath and North East Somerset is under way.
